Sarah Ellis

Attorney Sarah L. Ellis graduated from Carman-Ainsworth High School in 1999. She received a Bachelor of Arts from Alma College in 2003. While at Alma, Sarah had a double-major in English and Political Science and was an active member of the Phi Sigma Sigma sorority. Sarah earned her Juris Doctorate from Michigan State College of Law in 2008.

Prior to passing the bar exam, Sarah worked as a legal assistant for 7 years. She has been practicing law in Genesee County since 2009. She handles a variety of legal matters, with an emphasis on bankruptcy, family law and probate.

Sarah prides herself on listening to her clients and really trying to understand their point of view. She takes time to discuss the legal process with her clients and ensure that they understand the necessary steps to accomplish their goals.

Sarah is also very active in the community. She is a charter member of the Burton Area Junior Chamber (Jaycees) – an organization for young professionals between the ages of 21 and 40 who become active citizens by addressing problems, creating solutions, and providing leadership in a variety of different capacities. Sarah served as the 3rd President of the Burton Area chapter. She also serves on the board of directors for the Michigan Junior Chamber – working with Jaycee chapters across the state of Michigan.
